Meet Our Founder
Dr Jennifer Smith graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and has developed a clinical career spanning dentistry, facial aesthetics and skin health. Following several years practising in Australia, Jennifer returned to London and continued her postgraduate study in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine.
Over time, Jennifer became increasingly disillusioned with the direction of the aesthetics industry. What began as an opportunity to help people feel better about themselves had become increasingly focused on cosmetic enhancement, vanity and an increasingly idealised view of beauty.
Her approach evolved towards something more meaningful: how chronic stress and the demands of modern life can show up in changes to the skin, face, and scalp, and how we can support the body in repairing, renewing, and restoring what has been affected.
Our Approach
At ŌRIUM, we focus on skin and scalp health, emphasising renewal and addressing the visible effects of chronic stress, modern life, and environmental exposure.

Meet Dr Jennifer Smith
Meet Orium's Founder
Dr Jennifer Smith graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, providing a strong clinical foundation in facial anatomy, function, and patient care. She has been practising dentistry for over 13 years and has worked in facial aesthetics since 2017, alongside ongoing postgraduate training in aesthetic and regenerative medicine.
Her work is shaped by an understanding of the face as a functional system, influenced by structure, muscle activity, skin quality, and ageing over time. Rather than focusing solely on surface changes, Dr Smith takes a long-term, medical approach to facial ageing, recognising how patterns of movement, stress physiology, and biological change contribute to how the face looks and functions.
Alongside her clinical practice, she is developing Mode by Orium, a body of research investigating how internal states and cognitive patterns influence biological signalling, adaptation, and the trajectory of ageing.
Her approach is grounded in careful assessment and ethical clinical judgement, ensuring treatments are purposeful and aligned with long-term facial health.
